Enrolment Procedure

Pre-enrolments for the 2013 academic year will be carried out in the period 8 October 2012 until 16 November 2012. They should be carried out via the web.

There is another enrolment period at the end of January 2013 for first year students and other students whose preenrolments were not successful. There is also a late enrolment period at the end of February.

Preenrolment

Preenrolment is relevant only for those students who were enrolled during 2012.

For pre-enrolment, you should assume a pass in all core units of study in which you are currently enrolled and for which a result is not available.

You should be able to find any information you need in the EIE web pages. Consult staff only if you cannot find the information you need after searching the web pages.

Normal Enrolment

If your pre-enrolment is unsuccessful, you will be asked to enrol during the normal enrolment period at the end of January, 2013.

Students enrolling in the Faculty for the first time will enrol in the normal period at the end of January 2013, or in the late enrolment period at the end of February.

Transferring Degrees

It may be possible for students entering 2nd or 3rd year in 2013 to transfer from one specialisation to another (say from Electrical Engineering to Power, Computer, Telecommunications or Software Engineering). You CANNOT transfer during pre-enrolment. Requests to transfer will be considered in 2013, either during the normal enrolment period or at the start of semester 1.
